PCME Ltd, world-leading manufacturers of particulate emission monitoring systems, has developed a new modbus-based cross-stack optical measuring systems which utilises a dynamic sensing technique offering significant reliability and resolution advantages which virtually overcomes lens fouling associated with standard Opacity monitors.

The SC602’s design incorporates robust, automatic self-checks (zero and span) which monitor for instrument integrity. Checks are carried out automatically over a period of three hours. Operating with no reduced accuracy even with the transmitter and receiver optics 90% contaminated, opacity outputs (colour) are provided in addition to concentration (mg/m3).

Powerful single and multi-sensor control units permit secure configuration and availability to data. Graphic trend and review screens provide Bagfilter, pulse and average emissions concurrently and local or PC configuration and reporting is fully supported by open data architecture.

The introduction of the SC602 compliments PCME’s existing range of particulate monitors incorporating a range of technologies to meet the demands of a wide range of industrial processes.
